“Why do you make art? What does it signify? How do you make it? What is it made of?
These are questions that continually run through reknown landscape photographer Scott Papek’s mind on a daily basis.
As a Sound Designer for over 15 years, Scott explored how to take the use of ‘noise’ to evoke an emotion, reflect a mood and create theater of the mind; while he worked on the west coast with some of the best in the broadcasting industry. Scott understood early on that being a great sound designer was not about utilizing the best equipment - it’s about havng imagination.
In 2005, Scott’s imagination led him to purchase his first camera: A Canon Digital SLR. This opened his creative portal to photography - a powerful medium of expression and communications, offering an endless range of perception, interpretation and execution. Scott found the camera to be the perfect tool for his creative art, and his hobby soon became his next career.
In 2010, Scott moved back to Omaha, Nebraska to be able to capture an array of landscape photography. His photography endeavors continue to catapult him wherever an artistic opportunity may arise.
